    Can anyone tellme if E36 front seats will fit in the E30 without modifying them,or do the frames/runners need to be changed.

    I don't think that they are a straight swap, you need to fabricate seat rails and the like to make them fit. A member on here has attempted the same project, I just can't find the thread.

    I tried that last year but they weren't a straight swop so I forgot about it as i didn't want the hassel.

    no the rails are shorter in width on the e46

    E30 seats will fit if you make an intermediate subframe. I can send you pictures and specifications if you still want to go ahead with the project?

    Next up, I'll be doing some for the E46 range of seats, as I quite fancy the electrics.
