Personally i would run osram nightbreakers or hids with them to compensate the lost light and not too dark either.
its not illegal as far as i know but doing them really dark would be asking for trouble though

I used flyeye on my E46 lights front, back & sides but eventually got smoked sides & rears. I had really reflective indicators so should have bought some alternatives, plus I also have silver interior plastics and bought a black set to swap them over. As I knew I was getting rid of it as this is my old car so didn't bother swapping them

even so it still looks very dark (even more so from an angle as you can see by the drivers headlight) on a dull day/dusk etc yet still lets most of the light through and is clearly visible

got to do it all on my new one but was thinking of mixing it with a very light spray tint and flyeye but will also look at this laminex you mention

has anyone ever wrapped the interiors with that carbon vinyl or does it not look good?

i have wrapped some of my interior in the sticker bomb vinyl i have and it isnt %100
on there as the plastic is a little rough and bumpy so in spots its come up
but on smooth panels its fine.

just did a Google image search for sticker bomb and have you seen this? your headlights are already quite early in the results

Your wheels would look better than that too, wider spokes!
