    hi, just been out in my car and noticed some marks on my roof lining, thinking that i aint got anything to loose should i try and spray it black? i know this works on parcel shelfs so thinking it should work... in theory anyone tried this?

    Mine is black mate. I dont know if it has been sprayed, but just feels like normal fabric.

    Yeh this is something I am going to do. Statin black from our wonderful friend halfords is what I think most members who have done it used. I'm also gonna do the rear parcel shelf as well will go well with the black carpet

    but yeh I'm told it's really easy to and looks ace!!

    cool, yeh my parcel shelf is a pruple sort of colour! so will be doing both at the same time

    sorry for sounding well stupid but is it easy to take the headlining out?

    also is it really just as simple as spraying black spray paint onto it or is it a fabric paint?

    Amos, M3's came with the black headlining.

    They are really easy to remove if you take care

    Black headlinings can normally be found on ebay for anything between 40 and 80 quid with all the bits that go with it such as pillars, sun visors, roof handles and all the door/window seals
