    Hi All,
I am in the process of sourcing a BMW E36 Convertible, I have found a v reg 323i with rather low mileage, but he has sent me some pics and it doesnt have a rear brake light in the centre of the boot, I thought all late models had this, do you think this maybe indicates a crashed car and replaced with an older bootlid?
    or am i mistaken.
Here is a link to the car on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-323I-Conve...#ht_500wt_1182

A few other oddities are scorpion exhaust, front and rear bumper inserts and rear diffuser, are colour coded but the side mouldings arent,

Can anyone do hpi checks on here? the reg is: V135 KDU

    Any thoughts welcome.
    Nick.

The link is only a basic check only costs £3? might be worth paying a bit more and getting mileage checked, does seem a bit low.

    Thanks for the replies fella's,
stK, it's not that I am specifically looking for one with a brake light, it was the fact that i thought the 96 onwards all came with a brake light as standard, and this one, being a 99 model should definately have one.
    Thats why alarm bells rang.
e36nickd, i thought exactly that when I saw it, and forgot to mention it in the opening post.
you would assume with 42k they would be pristine.
I still cant sus the unpainted side mouldings.
I'm beginning to think, stolen recovered, maybe they stole front seats, bootlid, and bumpers. hence reason for older seats to replace and bumpers resprayed to match the car.

I'd be weary of that car - 42k miles... The seats are saying a different mileage.

I've got 144k on my car, but the seats are near mint.
