i bought a set of ccfl angel eyes for my car, thay worked fine but after a few months i had trouble with them not striking up, more so in cold wheather,
so thought i would invest in some SMS LED angel eyes. these just wire straight into side lights, no need for invertor packs.
just thought i would post some pics just so people could have a look at the differance between ccfl & smd

    these are CCFL

    these are SMD LED

the smd are a lot brighter than ccfl i was quite impressed.

I've moved this to the Bodywork & Styling section. Very nice mate

What are the LED ones like in daytime? I sometimes hear that the LED ones aren't as bright as the CCFLs during daytime.

Are they really that much brighter?
I heard that the LED ones have slight gaps in light between each LED, yours look pretty dam good though! Where'd you get them from? and how much?

thay are just as bright in the day as ccfl,

thay look like solid rings like ccfl's

at night you can nearly drive on side lights without dip beam on thay are that bright

i got them of ebay £50. ccfl was just doing my head in everytime i switched them on thay would struggle to start.

They certainly look the biz, paid £28 for my CCFL's, if they start to play up, then I will change to the LED ones, thanks for the info & pic's.
