    my car mats were dirty the driver side was bad and the pile was flat so sprayed some carpet cleaner on them and got the jet wash on them

    Excellent Bill, which carpet cleaner did you use? Tried a car plan one on mine then jet washed but didn't work out too well.

    Hi all,

    Here are another couple of tips, as follows...

    Try putting in your carpet mats into your washing machine, not too hot!! With clothes shampoo and conditioner, they come up a treat.

    Also try renting a Rugdoctor carpet cleaning machine, use it with there own "carpet detergent" and the hand tool or "upholstery tool" and it takes your breath away. I did my whole interior of my recently purchased 530i yesterday -it took 4 and a half hours!! This included Rugdoctoring the boot, carpets, mats etc.
