    Hi has anyone colour coded the rubbing strips on the e36??
    Also what are peoples opinion on it? Not to sure cos i've never seen one!

    My one had it and looked rubbish, mine is White tho. My friends e36 is black and it's colour coded and looks really nice. Dark colours yay, light colours nay!

    colour coded mine! but being black anyway it wasnt a drastic change
    and i only did it as i was sick of them looking grey and tatty and getting polish etc on them!
    considering having them done in carbon at the moment but im unsure!

    Depends on what colour!

    Blue - seems to looks good!
    Black - Awsome!
    Sliver - OK
    Red - Rubbish
    While - Not so Good...

    Its Dark Blue but am looking to get it resprayed black. Am the same just fed up with putting back to black on them to keep them dark.

    Has anyone had any problems with them pealing or cracking? I've seen some different cars with problems.

    Heres a link to a member on here he has colour code or taken them off I cant remember...



    Yeah There is also another member on here that did have them colour coded



    That seems to flake...

    Agreed. Mine are colour coded all round on a black car and look the mutts nuts

    Few pics off mine..









    If done right they shouldn't peel or crack, been nearly two years on my car (prev owner did the work) and credit to him they still look good. IMO worst looking colour is to do silver or red as black trim suits them. The only thing I would leave unpainted is the evo lip spoiler and a diffuser if you have them..

    cheers for that guys. Must admit in black it does look the dogs dangles. Good that im looking to get it resprayed black then. Made an easier decision for when i strip it down!
