    OK!

I finally got round to buying some clay to try out the 'final touches' of detailing that I've wanted to for so long.
Following from the Auto Express article here and here, I decided to go for the Bilt Hamber soft clay.

I bought a 200g bar in a nice little box from an eBay seller named abberlee - very impressed, £12, ordered Wed lunchtime, arrived Thurs morning...!
(I have no affiliation with this ebay seller in any form other than that I am a satisfied customer)

Instructions say that this clay does NOT require special lubricats and that water is fine.

Can anyone give me any tips on how and when to use the clay?

Should I use anything extra in the water as lube?
    Post or pre-waxing?
How much clay should I be using?
When should I change the piece?
Can I fold the clay back into itself when it's dirty or do I have to bin it?
    etc. etc.

    All/any info much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Psy

use a quick detailer or shampoo and water, make sure you u only use a small peice (size of 2 50p coins) and make sure you warm it up before use overwise it will fall apart. If it does get dirty just fold it till its clean again. I wash my car, then clay it, polish, then wax mate.

Also don't drop it and if you do drop it bin it it will have picked up grit that will scratch the paint if you reuse it

    Guys, thanks for the tips.
Was really much easier than I thought and GOOD GRIEF what a difference it made to the paint - it REALLY looks like a fresh paint job!

Photos to come in a another post/my gallery.
