It dries as hard as proper touch up, I can't see it being that much different in it's application to be honest. Just very easy.
The wife's car is not as scarred as mine, so it will be an interesting comparison.

With regards to the chipex, i bought a alternative from paints4u. its a scratch and chip repear kit, i had a go at it 2day and in theory it seems simple but actually doing it was quite hard!, you have to get all the wax and anything else out of the scratch then smear the paint over the scratch rub down laqour etc. sounds simple right?, its really really really hard to get all the dirt wax and other stuff from a really tiny scratch, i tried using a drawing pin and this helped but it was really hard, thing is if you dont get all the dirt out, when u wet n dry it flat then the dirt is just level with the paint and visable, can anyone help me on how i can clean the dirt, wax, etc out from the scratch? i thought of wet n drying the scratch right out but then the touch up paint is useless? id have to spray it? any help would be really appreciated!!

That sounds very different from the ChipEx system, no rub down as such or lacquer.
You could try 'claying' the affected area and using a paint clean ?

in regards to chipex again, it you bring the paint level up to the origional laquoir/clear coat, then there is no room for laqour? once you wet n dry it flat it will just remove the clear coar?, can you compound/wax the colour without applying clear coat/laqour and it will still come up like the rest of the car? again any help would be great!

Paint is not a two coat, just a base with gloss. No need to wet & dry, you level it whilst wet with a 'finger' then the blending solution levels it further. I have washed and waxed the car since, still good

Have a look HERE for how it works
