I have finally picked up my car and it is crackin'!!

Only over the past 2days since I got it t has been raining like the monsoon season in Asia!! The roof is sitting like a big sponge sooking all the water up rather than it beading and running off. So being a convertible virgin, what's the best products (from experience) anybody recommends for cleaning and more importantly waterproofing the roof?
I always use autoglym products and believe they do a set for this, anybody used them /recommend them?
    In case it matters it's a 2006 e46 with a blue roof!
    Thanks on advance!!

I have owned escort, audi, merc, golf and now a BMW conv and I have never applied any waterproofing solution to any roof and not had any ill effects.

It rains alot in Sheffield too !

Added: Our Golf sits under a tree so has gained quite a bit of green chlorophyl from the leaves... I was told this crowd make the best fabric roof cleaning and maintenace products..

Yeah it's not like it is leaking or anything but would rather protect it and make it waterproof as a precaution for the upcoming winter months!!
Thanks for the link, I'll check them out!

I have the autoglym roof cleaner and protector and i personally think it is well worth the money. It comes in a kit (cleaner, protector and even cleaning sponge) it makes the hood look brand new and the protecter just makes the water run off when it rains instead of sitting on top

So id say invest in the kit im sure you would'nt regret it

I've got the same car as you mate, e46 2006 3 series m sport vert

I bought the Auto Glym Roof protector/cleaner and its amazing

The protector beads water off like when you wax a car, when it rains really hard, the water just comes off and it lasts along time!

Agree with the above... Renovo is a great product and fairly cheap too.

Good deep cleanse first followed by a couple of coats with time to fry in between.

Right guys went for the autoglym kit and I have now just read the instructions, and it says when spraying on the protector you need to let it dry, preferably over night. Since I don't have a crystal ball to know about the overnight weather, and there isn't room in my garage for my car (due to my precious motorbike!!)
So any ideas as to how long it needs to work? Is until it dries enough?
I don't want it to be washed off if it rains unexpectedly!!
