    What colour is your car?
I saw a green BM e36 with a carbon fibre bonnet at it looked like an abomination that and the oversized exhaust oh the list of halffrauds mods added to it....
Anyway I would only suggest a carbon bonnet if it matches with the rest of your car-green and carbon didn't seem to go well...

    My car is hellrot red....

Currently it hasn't got any major mods & i prefer it to look subtle. My car came standard with the m-tech trim and i like it that way but i do like the carbon fibre bonnet.

    What's your views?

My other half is a photoshop genius...i suppose i could get him to put a carbon bonnet on my car to see what it looks like first

Its just my personal opinion each to his/her own
personally I like the subtle mods like I have all the M tech upgrades including an M3 exhaust which had to be custom welded to fit my 325.
If I had to have a carbon bonnet I would put it on a white car but I like the idea of your other half doing a photoshop fit-its like try before you buy
I hope you are happy with which ever decision you make

    Aww thanks!

You see i too love the m-tech/m3 stuff and wanna kinda keep it all tied in so i don't know whether to go for a carbon bonnet or stick with standard?

If the bonnet didn't need replacing in the first place i probably wouldn't have even explored the idea of a carbon fibre bonnet.

Dont want my car looking all chavvy if you know what i mean?

i'm not a big fan of c/f bonnets...very expensive for no real gain.
2nd hand good bonnet from a breakers and recover in c/f film for cheapness?
    what i've felt,what i've known

I really dunno what to do?

My bonnet was slightly damaged when I smashed and ideally i want it replaced, so maybe i'll just replace it with an original. It's trying to find a decent replacement that the problem!

Think i'll invest in a bonnet bra for the compact to hide the slight damage until i can get my hands on a replacement and get it re-sprayed!

Thanks everyone for your help & suggestions
