How often do you wash your car,

I love washing my car, love the shape of it, if I dont like a shape of a car I dont wash them, can stand the shape of my van so dont wash it more than once in every 3 months.

Wash my M3 on average 2 to 3 times a week including a shammy to dry it everytime, polished it twice in 4 weeks too.

I wash mine on average every 3 weeks!!

But I dont have a drive way...so its just a case of if I park her in 'my spot' then shes getting washed

According to this you shouldnt be washing her more than once a week

Gotta keep them type 3's clean

If i've got time and the weathers good it'll get a proper wash, dry, polish and wax.

Crap weather or don't have time it won't get washed, longest record has been about 9 weeks and it knackered my diamond cut alloys, all the brake dust ate into the metal

used to be once a week with the last car (mr2) but so far with my first bimmer its been a wash 3 times a week (tues, friday and saturday) a polish and wax every friday afternoon! Guess I love the bimmer more.... going to start wetsanding and machine polishing the few tiny inperfections once ive finished practising on the old MR2 parts laying about in the shed, then its onto paintless dent removal, once Ive done the £900 course, to get rid of all 6 of the tiny carpark trolley dings that dont even notice lol

I washed the 325 once a week while I was using it.
Ive not washed the 318is for 5 weeks now. The polished M3 alloys dont look polished at the moment...

I wash every 2-3 weeks depending on the weather. But once I've done a good detail job I will be doing it once a week weather permitting.
E46 325ci - almost permanantly broken but still the best car I have owned!

    Hi All,

I wash mine whenever I get the chance but it can sometimes be weeks.

    The problem is the quantity:

    BMW 635 of course
    Land Rover Discovery 3
American RV - all 32 ft of it!
    Classic Mini convertible

The Land Rover is great because that can be left as they are supposed to be dirty. It is black and to honest I would never have a black Land Rover again as it is the softest paint you could ever imagine so keeping it shiny is almost impossible.

The RV gets washed with a special wash and wax and is left to drain. I then only polish the glass.

The Mini lives in a carcoon and only comes out when it is dry. But even when I wash Her, it is over before it has begun! 10ft of easy peasey maintenance!

I have decided that the best wash method is to use the two bucket system followed by spraying with QD and wiping with waffle weave or similar, then I go onto a seriously good QD whose name evades me at the moment and wipe then polish with good microfibres.

It would appear that the snow foam I used to use, just takes all of the previous wax off and leaves the car looking clean but soon very dull!

    Regards

    Chris
