hi i've recently started getting in to car detailing and i'm out washing my motor all the time. the only problem i'm having is no matter what shampoo I use i can't seem to get a real good build up of soap suds, after a minute or two it looks like water is all that's in my bucket. any ideas of what products to use would be helpful thanks

    Hi

I use Dodo Juice Sour Power shampoo and it seems to keep the suds up through the whole wash and leaves nice shine after drying too.

try zymol or megs gold class both produce plenty of suds that last fairly well unless they come into contact with silicone type dressings which will kill off most bubbles!

I also use dodo juice sour power.. fantastic stuff.. and a 250ml bottle seems to last ages!!

If you use a fairly decent concentration then you'll have no problem with losing suds..

I use Megs Hyper Wash, really happy with the suds it produces, it can also be used as a snow foam solution.

Hi there mate, I personally prefer Meguiars Gold Class shampoo when detailing, but just as some advice, though the suds may be fun & good looking to wash with, they are in essence pretty useless, and the shampoo is there to provide a layer of lubrication between your wash mitt and the vehicles paintwork, so that the mitt itself does not inflict damage. I would also recommend using a lambswool wash mitt as these absorb the fine dirt particles really well, as opposed to keeping them at the surface where your paint work will get damaged by them.

So all in all, its all about good lubrication, not just the suds

    Ahmet

Try a new bucket in case its contaminated or old then with a fresh new clean bucket most shampoo will foam up well. My personal fave has to be Chemical Guys Glossworkz, it does what it says on the tin!! Try a lambs wool mit aswell there good.
