Just wondering when it would be time to clay my car. It was new in January and I got roped into (didn't know better!) the 'seal and protect' paint finish. Paintwork looks good to me but does feel a bit rough to the hand. Should I just go for it now when there are a couple of dry days forecast? Also, I bought the meguiars clay kit with detailing lube but the clay bar looks tiny! Is one going to do the whole car? Don't want to start and find it is not enough.

Incidentally, used Smartwax Rimwax today on my wheels. They look better than new! Very impressed.

One bar is enough for the whole car, did mine 2 weeks ago as like you I got suckered into the seal/protect rubbish (they offered it free instead of a discount, ended up spending ages cleaning afterwards)

Went from the paint feeling like sandpaper to silky smooth. Just take your time until you get 'the knack' and you'll love the finish
