    Would you use the same polish (Meguiars Nxt Generation Metal Polish) on the front metal trim? The one around the grill too?

    Or would something else sort this out?

    An update on the chrome exhaust tip - I just happened to be looking through some old papers and I found my receipt with the part code on it. The code is

    B82.12.9.410.932

    Hope this helps!! I'll still try and get a photo up this weekend though...

    I think it might be two months......ish!! Very much depends on the weather/studying/DIY/job hunting/job interview situation at any given time. Currently the car washing ratio is approxiamtely 2.5 washes of my girlfriend's MX5 to 1 of my 320d....not that I'm complaining as I get to drive the MX5 and it's great fun!!

    better not pipe up then that i can go a year without washing them. as long as the plates are clean and the lights i dont bother. shocking i know
