For what its worth - I have tried Meg's Gold Class - great for a quick spruce up but does not last too long.

Colly 415 - I was using this for about 12 months and thought it was really good, lasted quite a long time (a good 3 or 4 months)

Now I have been converted to Autoglym HD - best stuff I have used. The water just runs off this when washing the car and it gives a deep shine.

Must admit that the credit card takes a hammering and my collection is starting to build up.
Also be aware, the other half likes my shiny car, so I have to do her's as well. Now my daughter has brought her first car and wants that cleaned regulary - I will have to start charging at this rate , my weekends are taken up keeping 3 cars clean. It is satisfying though.

    Hi Peeps,

I've been reading your posts with interest, I have always taken pride in having the cleanest car in my Street, many folks often comment "how do you keep your car so clean, it looks like new"

Well I'm a keen biker , as well, around 8 years ago I came accross a bike polish called Crystal Glow, comes in a round auto glym style container, 500ml cost £10, its very similar to auto-glym, but in my eyes, seams to have a richer deeper shine. Most good Motorcycle dealers keep it on their shelves.

Perhaps I may get the full 100% detailing bug, who knows, but many years ago I remember getting my 1985 Escort RS Turbo S1 so clean as I was entering RS shows, I was frightened to take the car out and get it dirty, not sure I want to go back to that level again!!!!
