    As most of you will know ive spent some time modify in my motor but on the subtle side. I put genuine 19" spiders on her ive recently put an Msport front bumper on her an an Msport lip spoiler which has given it that edge i was lookin for. Now im not into drastic boy racers modifications but one thing that has been mentioned to me is to DE-CHROME the trim around the side windows? Apart from the kidney grills there are no other areas that are chromed. I could see the attraction with havin black trim as my car is the orient blue which is kinda dark. So was thinkin wat peoples views were an if any one knew where to get the black trim from apart from stealers? thanks for reading any advice welcomed

    Hi mate, not sure where you can get it from, but I would definitely loose the chrome (all imo obviosly). I just think it looks a bit odd on modern cars - I saw a new A6 yesterday that had a thn strip across the rear bumper. It didn't look classy (which is why I assume it was there), just naff.

    You could try a breakers for a set of shadowline trim Failng, that someone on here painted there's and it looked really good.

    Not 100% - I will try and find the thread and post the link up for you. From the pictures it looked like it came up really well.

    Here's that link;

    I think the Orient blue is pretty dark so black trim will look really nice. The M Sport version of your car will have shadow line trim and looks nicer than the chrome (imo).

    Deffo no chrome, with the window trim and the kidney grills changed I think you'll find you like the look of the car more.
