Hi everyone, new to e46fanatics, we are two students working on our bimmers on a tight budget. We own a BMW e46 compact 316ti and a BMW e46 coupe 318ci.

Below are pictures of our cars and all mods that we have done. i will right a list below

    BMW compact:
    angel eyes
    xenons
    new alloys
    blacked out rear lights
    led number plate lights
    2x12" subs and apline headunit
vinyl wrap roof, mirrors, rear lip, all badges in and around the car.
    black grill
tints (did not do this myself)

    BMW coupe:
    angel eyes
    xenons
blacked out indicator lights and side repeaters
vinyl roof, mirrors, rear lip, rear bumper spoiler, all badges, interior trim
    black grill
tints (did not do this myself)

i am posting pictures of before and after our cars are done. tell us what you think, give us any SUGGESTIONS for further cheap mods and your opinions. we are still doing more mods day by day and we will update this forum once done.

we also need some help. our compact mirrors are proving very hard to vinyl wrap. if anyone has done this before please give us some tips because the angles on the mirror are virtually impossible to vinyl wrap without causing creases.

if anyone would like any help on any of the mods we have done, feel free to ask us and we will be happy to help.

Paint the brake calipers in silver. Very effective and cheap mod.

Love the angel light mod on the e46 compact.
Keep up with the good work guys.

Yes looking to try a new product in the market called plastidip, and coat the silver alloys in black with it, fully reversible product without any damage to original rims, at that time we are definitely looking to paint the calipers, silver you say? why silver? i was thinking maybe red? thanks

I think red will make it look like your trying to make people think you have brembro brakes when the car doesn't.
It's up to you but I agree with above. Either silver brakes or go for black. Cleans up the look and doesn't make them stand out that much.

Both cars look great! Thinking of going gloss or matt black on the roof of my E46 soon. Vinyl wrap

Facelift Black Angel Eyes. M3 Lip Spoiler. Black Kidney Grillles. Lowwered -40mm. Tinted Windows. BMW E90 M3 Wheels. ///M - Power gear & handbrake gaiters. Dripping with Carbon Fibre Interior

Im not sure, i want ppl to notice them, but i see what your saying about them being red, however i thort red would go well with the black compact, and maybe silver for the coupe. Not sure, black would just hide them away really which they kind of are already? thanks and if you need any tips glad to help

You can also get SMD LED bulbs for side repeaters. Only a couple of quid from eBay and works very well.

Also CSL splitters for the coupe.

I think that compact needs to be lowered, take that tint off the rear lights (if they are the lexus style ones swap for facelift red ones!) and get rid of them wheels!

Not sure about the carbon wrapped lip spoilers either.. for the mirrors though, thinking about doing something similar myself

Thanks for your opinions, great to see what others think, but tbh i quite like the tinted lights and wheels. just a difference of opinions i think, but yeh could get it lowered for sure.
