Was contacted by one of the forum members Daren and asked if I could do a winter protection on his newly aquired 330ci to see it through till the spring.

Not a particularly pleasant start to the day weather wise, upon arrival and after a quick chat I made a start,

    Before's

Wheels cleaned using Smartwheels and various brushes,

Hood cleaned to remove some staining with a mild cleaner,

Hood pressure rinsed of, shuts, arches and trim cleaned with various brushes and the above solution also, lower half of panels treated to a warm citrus pre-wash before rinsing of,
2 x applications of warm shampoo applied through the foamer and left to dwell shortly before washing,

Tar remover applied to areas followed by paintwork contaminents removed using Meguiars mild clay,

Paintwork re-rinsed and dried with plush towels,
Lime prime paintwork cleanser applied via the rotary,

With the paintwork cleansed the wax of choice was Swissvax Best of Show, applied to all painted areas and left to cure,
Hood treated with G-techniq fabric protector,
Arches and trim dressed using Megs all seasons,
Tyres dressed using Blackfire gel with added polycharger,
Glass sealed using carlack window sealant,
Chromework polished, rubber door seals nourished to avoid splitting in the cold and interior given the once over,
Alloys sealed using Collinite insulator wax.
Wax removed and given a final wipedown with Zaino Z8 (spray sealant and gloss enhancer).

    Results.

Day wouldn't have been complete without the typical rain shower,

    Re-dried and put away undercover.

Many thanks to daren for the supply of warm tea throughout the day and the company.

Looking good as always Rob ...tell me, did you wax the alloys as well? If so, what did you use? And claying them must have been a PITA

Thanks Neal forgot that bit, edited, I have a few dedicated wheel sealants but on this occasion the alloys were waxed/sealed using Collinite Insulator wax, I find it works very well and seems to be pretty durable, claims on the bottle are that it's used to coat power cables etc.
Never enjoy claying alloys especially when you fingers are numb from the cold, but sometimes needs must.
