    hi there,

i currently drive a bmw 2000 e46 316i se and am looking to upgrade shortly to a e46 1999 318 ci, as i am young i cannot get insurance for an M£ but i can get insurance with a full body kit and so on, so my question is, do bmw m3 panels fit onto a bmw 318 ci?

i know i will need front bumper both wings both rear quaters and rear bumper, but will they fit my car? also i have found cabby rear quaters, will they fit a coupe?

and finally what else will i need to get them to work are the fixings in the same places will i need M3 inner arches?

just woundering as i am looking to do a full project with the wider arches, and buy parts leading up to summer and then get them fitted, just woundering if someone knows?

and dont say buy an M3 as i cant get insurance so that would be pointless

    thanks

they'll fit, you'll also need front bumper. Don't know about cabby bits fitting but IIRC you can get a repair panel (arch lip for an M3) and get that welded on thats the only place its wider at - no need for the whole rear quarter. I was looking at doing this but the costs of parts is stupid and not worth it for me

it really isnt worth it, it will be cheaper to buy and insure a 330 and you will be much happier.

everyone will know its not an m3 because it will sound nothing like one.

if you do want to still do it for some reason, at least use a 6 cylinder so you can make it kind of sound like an m3.

Ah, i see your point, a 318 isnt going to sound like one =P i might do what you suggest and get a 330 =P hmmmm sounds like a plan then i can keep the money and use it on something else or wait.

    thanks
