Well, I don't have the money to get a proper job done on the polishing side but I thought I'd do my best with the next best thing - a good clean and waxing. She is called Jasmine

Very amateur but I'll tell you what I did:

1)First, I cut the tail pipe to allow for my new chrome pipe. PITA.

2)Gave the car a good rinse, under the arches, under the bonet. Covered all those important parts.

3)Used Turtlewax nanotech wash&wax. Cleaned from the top down, panel at a time. Rinsed again to get the turtle stuff off.

    4)Dried using microfibre towels.

5)Scraped the crap from under the wheel arches. I do this frequently, as I know the arches are prone to rust.

6)Using clean microfibre towels, waxed using Turtlewax's Canauba Wax. Panel at a time. Pretty good stuff. The effect was very noticable.

7)Cleaned the alloys using some average jo bloggs wheel cleaner. Rinsed. Dried.

8)Dressed the tires using Turtlewax Tyre Gel. Im not a fan boy of turtle wax, its just coincidental!

9)Took pics! Total time: 2.5 hrs.

I know at sunset, most swirls and scratches get covered up easily - I won't lie, my car is 13 years old and it has plenty of cobwebs!

Haha, I don'd mind if it rains, it's only when I have to drive does it p*ss me off. As dirt and crap gets thrown onto your lovely polished surfaces.

If it rains and I don't have to drive, I just end up with a few water marks.

It always amazes me how old E36's compare to other manufacturers of less age.

Fantastic job you have done there and in about a third of the time I spend on cleaning my cars when the opportunity/necessity arises
