So we had a call from a cherished customer of ours recently wanting his Range Rover to receive a bit of TLC. A quick discussion with the customer about the car and we then came up with a suitable package that fitted his needs. 2 days or of hard slog from the boys at Autobrite Car Care Centre to reveal a stunning finish and to see the look on the customers face was well worth it! Enjoy!
Well it all started at 7am one cold Monday morning.
This is how It looked
We then proceeded to remove huge masses of dirt from the wheel arches!
So time to clean! Out with the Citrus Wash for some intense cleaning!
3D Grand Slam (weak solution) was chosen for the steps, some gentle cleaning
Autobrite Very Cherry Non Acid for the wheels and the Autobrite Wheel Bristle Brush
Out with the Magifoam with our new foam lance bottle
This was left for approx 15 minutes to ensure a thorough clean
While we were waiting, more cleaning!!
At the 15 minutes had passed
Rinse time the Kranzle K10!!
Hand wash with Citrus Pearl, sorry for the poor photo,
Time for another rinse
Ok so at this point I would like to inform you what we found next. As you might have noticed the last wash pic with the Citrus Pearl Shampoo the foam/suds was not that great, which to be honest is a strange one and this product does provide awesome suds when washing! So we then started to decontaminate the paint surface and this is where the problem occurred? Basically the car was covered in some kind of hard/sticky coating that totally destroyed the foam in the shampoo and the clay would not glide across the panel/s at all, even with copious amounts of 3D Final Touch applied? It was awful! We had to do a IPA wipedown on every panel to remove the coating of what ever it was on the surface! Sticky like glue is only the way I can really describe it? Never seen that before to be honest? Anyway when all that was removed we decided to break out The Autobrite Red Devil Aggressive Clay Bar and combined with the 3D Final Touch Lube and clayed to entire surface leaving a silky smooth finish ready for the polishing!
Not too bad to be honest, another rinse and a final dry!
The Polar Express Strikes Again!
After taping the car up the 3M Blue 1” Masking Tape , we started to polish her!
Our choice of combo here was the good old Megs 105 finished off with the Megs 205 on a DA6 Pro and 3M Yellow and Blue pads!
A scratch that we did a wee bit of wetsanding
Outside again for a quick foam and rinse to remove the excess dust, then we dryed.
The choice of wax we had in mind was Addiction, an easy to use Carnauba wax that gives a stunning finish with a durable coating.
Left to cure for approx 15 mins to reveal a stunning finish and nice water behaviour!
The interior of the car was then valeted and treated with our Leather Cleanse product, a PH neutral cleanser that works!
One dirty seat! Out with Autobrite Leather Cleanse!
Some small detail on the interior for the customer!
Some final pics of the car and some tasty reflections!
The finished item!
A superb motor!!
Thanks for looking!
Regards The Team!
