    Hi,

Read a few threads but unsure on best product...as per many people, my climate system tends to smell especially after aircon has been on and switched off... a bit of a musty smell.

So two products keep coming up, the Comma Aircon Cleaner and the Autoglym Aircon Sanitiser. Both big names so think one should be ok, but what is the best one to go for?

    Thanks

Can't comment on the Autoglym one but I have used the Comma one which did a good job and sorted mine out a treat.

It goes in the rear foorwell with the front seat pushed forward and aircon on recirc and fully on. Then you just leave it. Very weird, almost like a rather crap smoke bomb.

My car was 10 years old last March and have done nothing to the aircon system.
It works very well, no smells etc.Use it frequently, hot or cold.

Hi I am not sure what this is telling me in terms of the products I have mentioned?

I have an issue and am looking for suggestions on products.

Save you money.. just put the aircon on, temp upto highest settings and blowers on full blast.. windows up, doors closed..

leave for 5-10 minutes then shut off engine.. should find that'll be enough time to kill the bacteria and crap that accumulates in the pipes and no more smell.. worked for me anyway

Thanks for the responses so far, tried the above method and doesnt fully work.

Plan was to use one of these products after another bacteria burning session!

But just wanted the best product. I hoped the combination of these two should sort it!

for some reason every time you use the ac it leaves moisture / condensation in the vent pipes so the sent comes back. I used to give it a hot blast each and every time I had finished using the ac. Not an ideal method but it kept the stench away.
