I went to pick up my Wurth paint for my alloys this morning because Performance Motorcare are local and about the only people who have it - all I can say is wow, it's like a veritable aladdins cave in there!

They have a really good range of stuff - Meguiars, AG, Poorboys, Chemical Bros, Colinite, Mothers etc. Plus a load of stuff that I have never heard of.

If your not too far away and into your detailing, it would well be worth a visit. The pub next door looks OK as well! Its just on the outskirts of Tamworth in a tiny village called Elford.

    Another convert !

It's a great place, I was over there again last week. Be prepared for a long visit though people, the owners are real enthusiasts and love the chat. Great place

I was pretty surprised - my wallet started to quake in fear as soon as I walked in!

I know where I will be getting all of my car cleaning stuff from in future, especially as most of the stuff that I want to start using needs mail ordering (and some of the rates are eye watering!).

I'm going to try and pop down tomorrow for some clay, Collinite 476 (going to give it a go as most people seem to really rate it) and some Poorboys wheel sealer (they seem to be a lot cheaper than all of the other places that I have checked with).

what are you planning on using before the collinite? Autoglym's high definition wax is my new fave of the moment as its so easy to use(although pricey at full rrp), i use poorboys blackhole first before wax and is a exellent combo with the 476! The poorboys wheel sealant is exellent as well, apply very thinly, couple of coats initially the a coat about once a month seems plenty in my exerience as long as you dont use anything harsh to clean the wheels with!

You won't be disapointed with the Colly mate. Gives a great finish and lasts forever! I tend to use SRP or Megs NXT tech wax before. I really like the finish that NXT tech wax gives, quite oily so ads some depth to the gloss, but isn't as durable and ruins sheeting etc. So a coat of Colly on top is a perfect combo.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!

Was planning on washing it (obviously), claying it, rinsing it down to remove any residue left over from the clay, polish with AG SRP, seal with AG SGP and then wax with the Collinite.

I don't think the weather is going to let me do so though - so I may have to hang fire for a slightlty better day (annoyingly). The paintwork on my car is pretty good with only very minor swirl marks and its too contaminated if you run your hands over the paint work. My other half's car is going to take some doing though - its really badly contaminated.
