My neighbour came over to talk to me today whilst I was cleaning the car. He had a spray bottle of Showroom shine which his mother in law gave him for a birthday present.

I've seen this stuff on Ideal World shopping channel and to be fair it seems too good to be true. It's billed as a waterless cleaning system - you spray it on and wipe off with a cloth. No scratching just clean paintwork.

I'd already cleaned the car when he brought it over today - so I'll use it on some discreet paintwork next week although I sprayed some on the wheels after I thought they were clean and it lifted some additional s*it off of them.

I'm thinking of taking a bottle when I go on hols so that I can clean the car without all my usual potions and power washer etc.

Keen to understand if anyone else has used it
    I'm loving it

Dont touch it, its been tested many time, waterless products and they usually cause damage to the paint work !

I used some Meguiars Fnal Touch on a car that has not moved for a week today since it was cleaned. Used two cloths, application and polish, kept it very wet and lightly wiped off before finishing with a dry cloth. No swirls/scratches but you would have to have a clean car to start, just dust removal, and so very careful.

Thanks for your responses - I won't use the stuff other than on the wheels.

What do you think is best when I'm on holiday; using a waterless solution or running the car through a carwash?

I'll go for the best of two evils.

    cheers
    I'm loving it
