I just bought Hella replacements and went plug and play took half hour at the most to get them wired and working.... No dodgying with the leccy, or worrying bout splitting clips.

Which brings me to the question about an angel headlight conversion.

    Which ones are best?
Where's the best place to buy?
    Any tips or advice?

If any of you could help me out, advise me and point me in the right direction i would be very grateful
Here we go, these are specifically for a compact

Personally I'm not a lover of chrome but you may be? These should also be available on the net in black

Right so if i were to buy a pair of E36 Compact Hella Headlights, obviously they would fit straight in and connect up without messing with wiring right?

Would i then need to buy a kit to turn them into angel eyes? (sorry i'm not really clued up with this subject or the terminology )

    If so, which is best?

If any of you could point me in the right direction here & provide links that would be fab!

Thanks so far for all the help everyone

Sorry I am not sure-if they dont come with angel eyes then have a look on Ebay for Angel eye Kits-As I have said I have got ccfl's on mine and they were very easy to install. Some kits are better than others so when searching go for the ones that have the best reviews/feedback.
    Good Luck

You can buy any make of headlights and they will be a straight swap providing they are listed for the Compact. All the wiring will be fine.

You are then able to do the CCFL conversion like Joe did. He was kind enough to post a "How To" on the forum

There are many variations of CCFL kits available on the net and ebay. I've never thought of doing the conversion so I am unable to recommend which particular kit to use

It may be worth checking out Joe's guide (link has already been posted in this thread) and PM him if you have any questions
