You need 4 of them. Tap your inverter wiring with the side light +ve and ground connections. Sorry, no pics but maybe someone will oblige. I have a pic of the sidelight bulb with the connectors enclosed in self amalgamated tape to waterproof them, then tie wrapped with the main loom. This is what I meant by engine bay lighting

I bought the retro fit kit, the rings mate.

@ Neal..cheers mate for that pic...i was wondering. Do i have to take the sidelight out? Does that mean it's no longer used? I asked the seller and he replied:

Thank you very much for your question. You connect the wires
to the original connectors (insert the 2 pins into the connectors)
of the side lights and remember to take the side light bulbs out.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
Confusing! Does this mean that the use of the original sidelights is lost?

You take the whole holder out because it will look silly with angels and a yellow tinge . If you take the bulbs out like he is suggesting, you may get a lights out error, because the impedance is wrong. Hence you see why I have engine bay lights .

    You guys must hate me!

Regarding the lights out error, i asked him about it and he said that the ballasts he provides solves that error? :S

Sidelights are not that useful anyway for us am i right?

you can keep the sidelights if you wish. though I dont see why anyone would. But as stated, the inverters should take care of fooling the obc into not noticing the change if you have the angels as sidelights as 99.999999 percent of users do.

I still think the 'stick the pins in the bulb holder' comment is just about the most ridiculous thing I have heard this week. Yes it will work, but then so would driving your car using your chin to steer. Possible but stupid.

BUT..... Now I have to ask... has ANYONE wired up their angel eyes by sticking the pins in the holder as a permanent fitment? I promise not to take the mickey, and I am sure no one else will either
2002 325 Compact Sport ti M-Tec---- A little thanks goes a long way

He seems like a reputable seller.

Oh yes, those inverters could be a hit or miss on the lights out error. In my case, they were a miss . Then again, I had the older 1999 model.
