Are there issues with fitting a 55W kit to a standard car that had 35W bulbs...I know in older cars withe the plastic lenses this was an issue but is it the same now?

    Hey Wasim mate,

I was in the same situation as you, so I contacted BMW Warranty service. They sent me an email saying that if I installed xenons the warranty would still be valid because the bulbs are not covered under the warranty anyway. but if the xenons cause a problem to another part the vehicle then that particular part will not be covered. Hope this makes sense.

Streettriple - How did this go? Have you fitted them yet?

I'm looking at doing exactly the same so would be keen to know who you sourced yours from if they're great.

    Thanks,

Yeah I fitted these justafter Christmas and they are a piece of pi** to fit. If you can change a headlight bulb you can fit these! What a difference I went for the 6k which are really bright white with a slight tinge of blue. I haven't really noticed a real difference in the distance or beam pattern (I have projectors fitted-facelift convertible) but I have noticed miles away in the distance I can see the street sign reflecting!! What a difference!
I bought mine from ebay froma guy who has stopped trading just now! I only paid £69 for the kit which were ballastes, bulbs and error cancellors. The only difficult bit was trying to work out where to mount the ballasts and wiring!!
    Attached Images
HID Conversion, M Power numberplate surrounds, Intravee II and Alpine KCA 420i linked to iPod, De badged, clayed, and polished to perfection!
