Does anyone know any good paint/bodyshops in the London or Greater London area ?

I need someone who will do a good job with Frozen Gray matte paint. Not sure if this type of BMW paint needs specialist repair or is it just the run of the mill...regardless I want a professional job.

If anyone knows a good bodyshop and/or has experience of dealing with BMW matt paints then please respond or PM me.

    Thanks Z

As you well know, a lot of people take a step back, worried of the results, and even BMW aren't keen on repairs, especially with a high end car.

I'm not quite sure of what the problem is, I know with flip paints for example, the depth of colour is variable due to very tiny differences in paint depth that would be impossible to match up with a surrounding area, but I would have considered matt paints to be far simpler.

Try giving this place a call-

They are BMW fans and do a lot of the paintwork on the BMW show cars, and they'll know more about the paint repairs.

Customers wanting to buy the BMW Mx in Frozen Gray matte exterior paint are being forced to sign a statement that the automaker is not liable for damage to the car's paint. Refusing to sign the paper could result in the sale being cancelled.

Treatment of the car's specialized paint means the owners must never polish or wax the vehicle, or enter an automatic car wash that uses hot wax. A high pressure rinse is also required before hitting the auto wash. The car must be treated with kid gloves by the owner, who must remove excrement (huh?), fuel, insects, oil, sap and tar immediately with a sponge, while taking care not to rub the paint too hard.

Repairs may only be completed by a BMW-certified body shop. Any damage to the paint caused by nature, poor mechanics, bad or incomplete home care, or negligent behavior will not be covered by the vehicle warranty.

Your driving around in a 10 plate 70 grand motor, if there was no procedure to follow or special advice then just take the car back if the paintwork is naff, ask them to fix it.
