I've just given my 09 plate 325i it's first wash since I collected it last friday. I was told to wait a week to wash it because I had the seal and protect done. It now has bad smearing

I washed the car with the supplied BMW car shampoo and then rinsed off with clean water. I then used the supplied Chamios leather and it has smeared. Any ideas of how to get rid of it?

I take it that it's the stuff from the seal & protect that has smeared?

Ralph, you may find a wipe with a detailing spray will do the trick.

As mark and steve, finish it off with a spray of detailer, I use the BMW wash that the mrs had with her car and it never seems to leave a clear finish, even the halfords pink stuff (forget the name) makes a big difference.

    Thanks for the replies!

I gave it another wash with clean water and left it to dry rather than using the chamois leather and the smearing has gone.

Ralph, get yourself some micro-fibre cloths for drying. Kinder than chamois and don't hold so much grit.

Costco have some reasonably priced ones. 30 for around the £12 mark, wash a treat too.
