Right, my car is just less than a year old, and i wash regularly, have clay barred, and polished/waxed a few times, but for some reason i have these water droplet marks on every surface of the car - no matter what i do.

After washing the car i shamois dry and the car looks crystal - no problems in sight, but if i wipe the shamois over the car again (any surface - paint, glass, plastics, even the wiper blades and arms!) there they are! the water droplet marks, again they fade - mostly.

    A pic of the problem...

^^this is a plastic cover in the engine bay as the best example but its everywhere!

Any ideas on what's causing it? hard water in my area?

Any suggestions for good cleaner / other product to get rid?

    Thanks all.

    Osh

Just a thought and it might not solve your problem but consider binning to chamois and try a microfibre drying towel, I used to get similar marks on my windows. Also, check this thread, it converted me.

I was converted to using Microfibre cloths about a year ago, would never go back to a chamois again.

I think that would be caused by hard water or acidic rain inn your area im afraid... a paint cleanser might sort that out or a good machine polish...
