Hi all, recently bought the above car and have had a few niggles which can be sorted under warranty with the exception of the following, which I wondered whether any of you guys can offer advice on as main dealer has been most unhelpful.
I have got rust on all four wheel hubs plus calipers and have been told by the dealer it is normal and they will not do anything about it ! Is this a common problem ? Or do you have any advice as this is most unsightly especially having paid for nice alloys.

    Steve

Steve, noticed you have read the other threads ref this issue.
My POV is that it is very common, however, opinions vary as to whether it is to be expected or not. Done mine twice, done my wifes very low mileage Golf once, done neighbours E92 for him, and another neighbour wants me to do his 997 Carrera 4S, so instances across most marques.
My local dealer charges £20/wheel to repaint them. I have no experience of dealers doing it under warranty.
Takes a couple of hours to DIY them to better than factory finish.

Fook me £20 a wheel? Do they use real gold in the paint or something?

Steve, if you search hub/caliper cosmetics on the forum, you will find a thread I started showing how I did mine and the results. Done them again this year and they look so much better
