Ok folks, I need some expert advice.

I damaged my OEM bumper a couple of weeks ago when I hit a rabbit. I managed to push the dent out, however, there is evidence of some stretching of the plastic on the lower edge to the left and below the N/S fog lamp. It's a 5 yard damage, any further away and you can't notice, but suffering from OCD it has been winding me up.

One solution is to add a spoiler. BMW do an aero extender for non M-sport bumpers, a copy of which I have found on fleabay. It's fibreglass , but cheap. I understand these stick on with 3M tape. It will require painting.

What do you reckon ? Can you please vote to help me out ?

The car in the thumbnail is the same colour as mine.

    Cheers

    that 'looks' great
however,i would be looking for something made from abs as fibreglass is a bit fragile

Mark I hate fibreglass kits/spoilers, I think they're cheap and nasty. ABS plastic is far better to work with, far easier to repair and far more resistant than fibreglass.

If there is an ABS plastic version then I think that would be the far better choice for you car

If there is not then fibreglass it is but please be sure to be careful when parking head on to a high kerb

Either way, I'm sure it will look the mutts nuts. Look forward to seeing it happen

As Rym says-ABS is far better so if you can find one then put that on instead

Thanks for the commentary thus far guys. I too have reservations about f/glass, although I am careful, another rabbit would destroy it and my early morning drive is like Watership Down. I have found a PU version, albeit from the states which may be an alternative in terms of material. What I really need is some splitters like NealP has, but can't find any for a non M-sport front... will keep looking !
