I am new to the forum having just bought a 2007 325 coupe but it has some chips in the flat of the bonnet. Chips away say that all they can do is fill them with paint with a brush. Has anyone any experience of a smart repair to a bonnet or any idea of the cost to respray it? I live in the Basingstoke, Hants area and would appreciate any advice.

There is a process that fills the chips with paint and then you do something to level it. There are kits for sale on ebay. A forum member bought one but never posted the results, but there is a thread on one of the Subaru forums with good results. I will see if I can find out anything further.

Thanks for this- it looks great but I would rather pay someone else to do it!
