Bank Holiday weekend wasn't so bad in terms of weather, so managed to squeeze in a detailing session. Took some pics along the way

    Couple shots of car before:

First off I got to work on cleaning the wheels with Meguirs All Wheel Cleaner and wheel brush:

To wash the car I used a Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss. I used quite a high concentration in order to get rid of any of the previous wax:

Using the two bucket method, I washed the car using my Lambswool mitt:

Clay bar was then used. I've never used one before. After a recommendation on the forum, I opted for the Bilt Hamber Clay mainly because you can just use water for the lube.
This photo was taken after claying the passenger side rear of the car. The bonnet was the worst though, but I didnt get a shot of that.

Car was then rinsed and dried with a Cobra waffle weave towel aka the Guzzler

For the tyres I like using Megs Endurance tyre shine applied with a foam pad. After about 15-20 mins, I apply a second coat. Love this stuff.......lasts for ages!

Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze was applied using microfibre/foam mitt. This stuff was really easy to apply and buff off. I absolutely hated the pad though. I thought it would be good idea to buy as it has a slit that you can place your hand in, but this slit just wasnt deep enough, so was hard getting a decent grip on the thing.
This Glaze did give the car a wicked shine afterwards though.

Next was the Chemical Guys 50/50 wax with Super Soft UFO applicator pad. Once again this was easy to apply and buff. Wasnt too keen on the smell though

Exhaust polished using Autosol. I forgot to grab some wire wool to clean the inner parts though...

The Glass was cleaned with Autoglym glass polish followed by RainX.
The exterior was then finished off by applying Zaino Clear Seal.

Some after shots. I cleaned the interior last weekend, so have included those shots too

    Great stuff Dizzle,

Personally I found the Bilt Hamber clay very difficult to work with.

Just bought some Chemical Guys Glossworkz shampoo and the new Clear Seal Gloss Enhancer & Protectant Detailer Gallon to use neat over the QD.

Don't reckon I will get the chance to have a go today though.

    Regards

    Chris

hahaha.....I heard that a few times this weekend from the neighbours. They thought I was mental spending 5hours doing my car
I did think I was bit mental though, spending my day off work detailing my car

Didnt realise you could get products too apply over a QD. I thought the QD products are there to top up the wet look and give bit more protection to wax.
I might have to look up that stuff. Maybe I shouldn't actually. Spent enough as it is in detailing products in last couple months
