ah ok, just i'd read of others removing the back box altogether. not sure if the m3 back box would restrict mine more because i imagine a v8 engine would be pushing the gas's out with more pressure. not sure thats how it works tho

the M3 backbox is used to having 4 litres worth of exhaust burnt at 7k rpm...could handle 2 litres worth at 4k
it wouldnt silence so well...dunno if thats a factor?
its doable...but seems a bit too much hassle given the cost of M parts anyway.
you would do better getting an exhaust built on your car...google longlife and powerflow
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

To be honest that is the route I intended to go down. Then I saw a mint condition e90 m3 exhaust for sale for £200 and started thinking.........that is exactly the look I want at the back of my car......wonder if it could be made to fit, and if it could it would be a cheap mod!

I suppose I was looking for somebody to say.....yeah don't see why not, then i would have snapped it up. Still thinkin I may give it a shot tho.
