had my 320ci for 2 weeks and had to go into the workshop (but thats on another thread lol)

it was fully valeted and buffed when i got it and now it needs a clean, however today when i got it back it has loads of little surfice scratches, in fact the dirtyer it gets the more scratches seem to appear??, and a strange round patch with scratched centre on the roof at the back (above the boot, about the size of a football)

looks like someone had slid a box or something onto the roof? could this be only showing up now its got a bit dirty or could this have been caused at the workshop????

im not happy about it but dont want to make a fuss at the workshop as normally i would be very surprised if it was them? but i have no other explanation as it has been locked in my garage since i got it back this morning??....... i was thinking i could use soem scratch X or somehitng to get them out,but now they seem to cover most of the car including wings, doors and roof? is that still somehting i can do wiht the scratch X??.......or are we talking re-spray jobby??

    any advice??

    Andy

P.S has anyone used this?? Quixx Scratch Remover

You could try having it professionally detailed-they would get rid of light surface scratches and bring your car up and looking new.......

a lot of time once the car has been cleaned and polish a lot of marks will not be seen, but as the car gets dirty these makes will show, if you car is sliver as per you picture then i would say this is the case, thats y garage keep the cars polished and clean mate

As you are in London you could try speaking to gleammachine-he is a member here and would be able to tell you what price to expect to pay for a detail and he has a gallery on his profile to see what results you can expect too.....

rjb : yes mate that is exactly what i found, and i agree wiht you that the grey metallic seems to show it up a lot more than other colours i've seen, but this is a LOT of scratches.......more than your average wear and tear, someone has fucked this up by either trying to clean it dry? wiht the wrong cloth? wiht a buffer and messed it up? gone through a rough car wash? or even a combination of the lot?? lol.... its is scratched over the entire vehicle, alhtough htye are not nail catching scratches but they do show up a lot when unpolished.... i've had many cars and never seen one like this before??

it sort of spoils the whole car, that other than that is a cracker
