The rear elbow shaped parts of my chrome exterior window trim (both sides) need replacing. Does anyone know where I can get the cheapest replacement parts? Are they easy to replace?

Pretty sure they are dealer only,

You mean number 11 here? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...40&hg=51&fg=20

That's the one! So it looks like big bucks then? Are you sure no other outlet, for example, Euro Car parts would supply them cheaper?

Just a thought, you could always de-chrome it using a 3M Vinyl kit and hide your existing trim.

Have thought about that option Mark! However, with my lack of practical skill it will probably end up looking worse? Its not the end of the world, it does not effect the performance of the car. Its just damn irritating and expensive to put right. Guess I will have to live with it.

Get yourself to Gaydon in the summer and we will have a collective go at de-chroming

Price from main dealer, £135 each side, http://www.cooper-bmw-parts.co.uk/in...com_virtuemart

Highly doubt you can get it anywhere else I'm afraid, Euros wouldn't.
