Wheels were filthy when I bought the car. Not had a chance to bling them up till now. Bought some cleaning products thinking it would be a nice easy job.
Bilberry Wheel Cleaner
Poorboys wheel Sealant
EZ Detail Brush
unfortunately, the wheels were so bad, even the Bilberry cleaner (neat) couldn't take the crud off. 6 years of brake dust was just too much. I took as much off as I could with the cleaner and then resorted to sandpaper.
Wet and dry wasn't abrasive enough, so i used 180 grade (its all i had).
Tested in a small area and it was JUST, taking the crap off... 4 hours later... after lots of sanding, cleaning with the Bilberry, and sealing with 2 coats of Poorboys, this is the end product.
Let me know if you think it was worth it.
