So it happened - went round an icy bend at 3mph and lost her .... slid into some bushes and have a small scratch on the nearside wing looks to be in the lacquer and i'm trying to remain positive - at least i didn't bend any metal or scrub my alloys.

Question - what do i do about the small scratch (2-3 inches), i can see it even if no one else can

can you feel it with your nail?

if not it will most probably with time and patentice polish out with a machine

if you can feel it with you nail you will probably me able to hide/fill it abit with AG SRP with a machine polisher and you will probably not be able to see it

if you can feel it you wont be able to remove it completly,

AG SRP = auto glym super resing polish

Do you have a machine polisher?

if you cut it first with a swirl pad and some high cut compound to take the edges off then use a softer pad with AG SRP on then give it a good polish with that in the area it should take it down alot and hide it really well

if you lived closer i would say you can pop round and you can do it with mine,

when i got my car it had a few scratches on it and all of them are alot less obvious now

you could always try AG SRP by hand, but it would take a while to hide it a machine would be alot quicker and look alto better

try poorboys blackhole, it is like srp in that it has filling properties but is aimed at black or dark cars.

+1 what Sam said but i'd use AG UDS after a coat of SRP because UDS has a stupid amount of filler in it meaning it'll hide the scratch from nearly every angle and with built in sealant lasts long too.
