    Hi there

Some mofo decided 2 key my car today ....ive been left with a 3 inch deep scratch in my driver side rear door... right in the middle. :@:@:@

Does anyone know how much it would roughly cost to get it resprayed?

and also would the whole car need respraying or just that door?

    its silver...maybe metalic silver!

    thanx ppol

depends how good they are at spraying,

a good spary i would expect it to blend in with the rest of the car and be un-noticable

as neal suggest some mobile dent/scratch repair people, can deal with it

bear in mind they only paint the scratch which is why it is cheaper and depending on how good/how much experience they have will determind on how it looks it could match in well and not be noticed but then again it could stand out and look awful and you end up getting the whole door sprayed

if i was you i would just go and get the door done

the mobile people will be better at removing stone chips and door dinks, but even then ive herd peopl say they look sh!t

how deep is the scratch? if its just in the clearcoat and not the paint then most good mobile dent/scratch removal companys should be able to get it gone without needing to apply any paint.... just some wetsanding, machine polishing and some elbow grease... I'm doing a scratch removal course at the moment and you'd be amazed at the things they can "buff out" also its a lot cheaper than spraying
If you need to go down the spraying route then they will spray the whole door and blend the spray into the front door and rear quarter panel being only 5 years old the paint shouldnt have faded too much so a colour match shouldnt be a problem for any decent bodyshop...

    Any pics of the damage?

With titan silver (sound's like what OP has), you have at least 4 shades which depends on what batch of paint is used when manufactured. Hence why the BMW approved body shops try and match from the manufactured batch for a perfect finish.
