    Hi All,

Having swapped the number plates over on my new motor, I spotted that there was some paint flaking underneath the front plate and since snow foaming and jet washing, this flaking is getting bigger.

It turns out that there has been a respray before but not prepped correctly which has caused this issue. I've spoken with my dent man and he quoted about £350 to do the respray and sort out a couple of minor scratches and dints around the car to try and get it as near showroom as poss.

First question: Does this sound right - it does sound cheap to me and so that may mean that he's not that good!

Second question, as the colour is Stratus Grey and has a slight pearl to the paint work, is there a problem with respraying panels of this colour.

Last question: Are there any recommended people around the midlands area who will do a good job?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best Regards,

    Lewis

its not a bad price for just a bumper...but i take it that he wont be baking the paint?
might be better for a bodyshop to do the work imo.

This chap has premises where he would be doing the work and stated that he'd need it overnight. Thanks for the feedback guys, the good news is that I got most of this money back from the dealer to go towards the cost, although they didn't like it much!
