I'm looking for a general opinion on a possible mod to my 645ci (Coup). I'm thinking of getting her re-sprayed and re-sprayed in a proper mirra chrome paint no less. So it'll basically be a V8 mirror on 19" M6 rims!!

So what are your thoughts... To spray or not to spray???
Incidentally the std colour is metallic grey.
Do you play for Man United by any chance??

Personally, I don't like chrome cars at all; glad to see you might have changed your mind. If you want it to stand out, why not think about a Matt Black wrap - Same sort of look as the batmobile in the new batman movies!

Random matte black BMW pulled from Google:
Cheers for the responce, and I'll be sure to create a thread once I start tinkering! I'm basically waiting for my mates ramp to become free so I can properly measure up for the exhaust. I'm going to cut it off from just after the cats, weld on some V-band clamps (so I can put it back!) make a fixture from it, spec the pipe and mandrel bends etc etc. But at the moment my mates ramp is aways full of dying scoobies, it's never free!!! I know they sound really well but they're full of mechanically weak bits it seems, clutches, gearboxes, cylinder heads, all sorts, Japanese Tupperware boxes if you ask me!!!

you love that word dont ya

wrapping can be done here . http://www.raccoon.co.uk/colour-chan...-finishes.aspx

i have heard good storys about this place. a mate WAS going to get his m6 coupe wrapped in white. he's since decided to sell the car . but i believe the price was 1600.00 + VAT = £1800.00. This is for door sills too. 5yr warranty and the best vinyl available! also includes a courtesy car

    sounds not bad to me.

personally would steer clear of chrome. unless you rent women by the hour or play prof. football.
i think i read somewhere on the raccoon site that they do a white carbon fibre look ??? that may look tasty. (need to see it first) or a nice pearlescent
    white.
    keep in touch

Well I went to Oulton Park yesterday to watch Time Attack and saw some pretty mental cars, such as a 2ltr supercharged Lotus Exige with a 100 shot of Nitrous. Which basically gave it 4 times the power to weight ratio of my 645ci, and then that got bummed by 2 Evos running god knows what, probably in the region of 700 - 800 horses!
Anyway, there were some trade stands at the event and one had a chrome nissan drift car on it. I can safely say chrome isn't for me. I wasn't so much the colour (which I still like the idea of), it was the finish, most pictures you see are of a car that resembles a mirror. Yet in the flesh they're nothing like, I was expecting a glass like reflection and instead it looked like the foil from a chewing gum wrapper and made he finish look cheap!!

    The search continues............
