    The term projector is used for the OEM lenses used in xenons to focus the beam mate. Don't think you need to worry about aftermarket HID kits with non projector CCFLs. But it is wise to have these lenses to prevent beam scatter and blinding on coming traffic. I see a lot of that nowadays
