    Hello,

A little help and advice is needed please.

Im wanting to get my car windows tinted...before you ask yes legally!!

Although I did really want to have the same dark -ish tints all round but really cant be dealing with the hassle of getting pulled by the police etc.

Heres my car( I know its not the greatest photo ever taken and its not clean!).

How dark shall I go? Im guessing limo black would look really stupid as the car is light.

    Thanks in advance.

Like you say, anything too dark will look silly on a car in your colour.

A light to medium tint would look good in my opinion.

    Thats what I was thinking.

Maybe something on the lines of:

    What do you reckon?

    Hey seb

Cheers for the info, that OG tininting guy looks handy if he can do mobile (come to your door) service. I wonder if he does....?

I was toying with the idea of tinting as my next upgrade and I sometimes work in Northamptonshire.... need to be v careful with the front windows tint tho. According to the OG site you are not allowed to tint fronts unless it is for show.

A member on here tinted his windows I'm sure but got the police to check the light that comes through IIRC 70% light must get through or something.....???? anybody help with that? Red

Yes pic 2 is good. Im going to get my front drivers and passengers windows tinted as dark as legally can be although I know this wont be much as the windows have a little tint already from the factory.

Yeah I have seen the van(s) around Northampton quite a lot so I think they defo do come to you.

I have seen a few car tints which have been done by OG and the quality looks excellent! A friend of mine has limo black all round and this was done by OG.

I think that all tinting firms legally have to advise you of the tinting laws but will do any tint you require. As it is upto the driver of whether they will use the car for shows on road use.

    How about something like this..?

My previous ride.. Any before anyone says it, yes I did steel Puff Daddy's car, but no, I don't pimp out my sister.. Incidentally, it was made by BMW and had a 320D engine, so screw you guys

35% on the rear, and 15% on the front - Never once got pulled, and the rears were pretty much opaque in anything but direct sunlight - Handy if you happened to leave a PC world bag on the back seat while you were parked up at the cinema in a multi-storey carpark and a buch of scroats were hanging around..

Incidentally, Limo black is only for Chavs - Don't go there!

    lmao! very true!

Yeah that ride looks nice! Im hoping that If I call the tint guys they will be able to advise on what they think would suit etc.

I dont lnow if this is a dumb question or not, but do you reckon there would be any sample they could use. for example hold a sheet of tint next to the windows so you get a general idea.

    Has anyone had this?

You don't really get an accurate representation until all the windows are done. Once complete, there's less light in the car to show through. My advise, having had my last couple of cars tinted - However dark you think you want, go one shade lighter.. It always looks darker when it's finished..
