I'm considering installing angel eyes as I've seen a few photos and thought they look much better than the normal led strip stuck somewhere on the front. Has anyway one had any experience with vendors / installation with these as I see theres a wide range to choose from. Ebay seem to do them for £20 ish ranging all the way up to £100 on some websites.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hello enytgm,

i have installed some angel eyes on my E46, there is a DIY and a photo in my signal,

i got the umnitza's, got mine from here: http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/varia...kPTI0NDk=.html

£140 odd bit pricey but they really are bright, you can see them in the bright sun light and they look really good,

they were fairly easy to instal, took a few hours,
CA automotive were really good, next day delivery, really helpful

there are many rings to chose from, but two main types:
    LED or,
    CCFL

ccfl tend to be the cheaper ones you see on ebay for £20, i got the LED's,

there are many diffrent varients of ccfl's, the main diffrence is the brightness, which you will see on ebay listings like 7000k or 8000k the bigger the number the brighter the light

The umnitzas that i have are really good qualtiy, they are driven by a relay, the wires are good quality and all come in heat protected sleeving

Here are some instructions how to install these on the M3 E46 but they are very simular to any E46 apart from the facelift E46 which is actally a sealed unit and you need to use a heat gun to open it up !

    hope they help someone! LOL
