fancied a change from the standard black rubber number that bmw stuck on as my gear knob so i decided to change it. in my infinate wisdom i decided that my best course of action was to pull upwards and twist. it came off in the end but as i tightened up my last grub screw on my new knob (lol) i found that the shaft itself was twisting causing my shifting to feel loose.
it appears there is a primary shaft, a rubber seal of some sort and like a metal sleave on top of it. is there anyway to stabalize the whole thing or am i stuck with a loose gear change 4ever?
