guys, i am still not confident of which muffler to purchase, the one i have my eyes on is the magnaflow 14862, which is going to cost around £240.

before i even purchase it, i would like to know the chances of it fitting my bm? because i already had a backbox exhaust at home which the mechanics said would not fit on my car.

my car is a 318 an only has a single pipe, if not magnaflow, are their any exhausts which you guys could recommend which is a twin exhaust, nice roar and cheaper too?

i looked into getting a exhaust from a 323. Thats a single into a double and would require a sleave to b fabricated. Quarry motors qouted me just under 100 quid for that exhaust. Hope this helps

I had a rear section custom built for my '02 318ci by Advanced Automotive Systems in newcastle, they did a great job, it's good quality stainless, mantrel bent bends, proper flanged joins not cheapo slip joints top notch fit and finish and it sounds nice (nice to me is quiet btw, although they can make it loud if that's your bag)

I paid £250 inc vat and that was fitted too as they build it on the car.. dont confuse this with powerflow rubbish, they have some proper bits of kit in their workshop like mach 1 mustangs, radicals, proper drag cars etc

only downside is their 2 month waiting list.. but then thats testiment to the quality of their work.

    hope this helps
