    Hi Everyone,

Long term viewer, Only just registered.

I have a 53 plate 330d manual and have a problem with one of the headlights. I bought this car a while back so I'm not sure if the Xenon headlights are BMW standard or if the other guy installed them himself. The left hand side all works ok but its just the headlight on the right. I swapped the bulbs over so there isn't a problem with the bulb.

Iv'e tried looking for a Xtec Hid System to replace it but can't find one anywhere. Would it be ok to put another make in?

The details of the ballast are:

    Xtec Hid System
    Light Source: d2s and d2r
    Input DC: 8-32
    Output 85v 35w
    Open circuit 380v

Does anyone know where the best place is to pick one of these up, or similar?

    Thanks

    Danny

    Thanks dailydoggy,

I'll just get one of those. I'll let you know how I get on.

(Are all connection the same on a ballast?)

nope more than likely it may differ slightly some modding of the cable ends may be required..

use a screw connection choc block if needed (ampy block or similar) dont use bullet connectors or spades etc (loose type fittings) they will prolly burn up..

Just to let you all know that I went with this kit instead of just the ballast incase the other goes in the future. £65 next day delivery. All I did was swap the ballast and presto so thanks for the site dailydoggy
