Hello everybody Just wondering how minor door dents and ripples are removed off bodywork and the approximate cost of removing them?

Sometimes you can see these dents and sometimes you cant depending on lighting, so it is difficult to point them out to a bodyshop. Does the bodyshop have special equipment to be able to identify any dents and ripples on a body without having to search for them by looking down the side of the bodywork with 1 eye?

Whats the likeliness of rippled or dented bodywork to be restored to its original state?

Thank you for your help guys!!

You need a PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL (PDR) firm.

They can see all blemishes by using artificial light sources.

Yellow Pages have a few listings from UK franchised companies who can charge anything up to £100.

I use an indie, who charges between £35-£40 in Tamworth.

Best bet is to nip to a local dealer and ask who they use and ask for their number.

Will it be upto £100 for each dent? Would a bodyshop be able to sort them out? How long does it take them to sort it out? Would you be able to tell there was a dent there previously or is their work 100%?

    Thanks for the help Mark!

I have managed to get a dent in one of my doors, and I have been quoted £50 and told it will take about an hour. I was also told 100% guaranteed or no charge!

My dents are really minor, more like ripples? You can only seen them in certain lights when you look down the side of the car. I dont want to be charged like £50 a pop. Theres like 4/5 of these around the car. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, they are so minor it took me 9 months to spot them since I bought my car but I still want to sort them out for peace of mind!

They usually charge per panel like my friend. He charges something like £35 per panel with a maximum of 3 dents I think....or it could just be that price he charged me

Thats worth it!! theres only 2 panels that need doing. Is he mobile or do you have to drive up to him? Did he do a good job, could you tell it was repaired or was it back to its original state? Could I have details of him please?

Can he sort out ripples or just dents?

    Your help is much appreciated!!

Sorry Haz for the tardiness in my reply.

He charges me £35/panel. He travels to me as he lives 5 mins up the road.
These guys are amazing, you will not see any evidence afterwards.

Don't think he will travel that far Hassan...I found him at a dealership working on their showroom cars. Maybe you should enquire
